Hi, I'm David Westcough, a qualified sports nutritionist, personal trainer and a competitive masters swimmer.

In other words, I like to race other people in the pool, where my favourite events include the 50m & 100m freestyle, as well as the 50m fly.

In fact, for all of my childhood, I was overweight, if not obese.

And it was only on one fateful day climbing a mountain on a hiking holiday back in 2011 that I resolved to make a change.

Since then, I have been on a rollercoaster of a journey dropping from 127kg to 81kg and yo-yoing in between, trying several different weight loss methods.

Some were effective and others weren't, some were safe and others weren't but, now I've settled into a routine that is both safe and effective, where I haven't looked back since...
